reCaptcha by BestWebSoft

In addition to our Math Captcha add-on. You can now integrate Google's reCaptcha into MemberPress using the free reCaptcha plugin by BestWebSoft.

Install reCaptch by BestWebSoft

First you'll need to install the reCaptcha by BestWebSoft plugin.

The easiest way to do this is from your website's Dashboard > Plugins > Add New page:

Once installed, Activate the plugin and visit its Settings page.

Generate reCaptcha Keys

If you don't already have a Google reCaptcha key for your domain(s). You can generate a free one here: https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin/create. Note: if you have more than one google account, be sure you're logged in with the one you want this key associated with before creating it.

Create a V3 key as shown in the image below:

Once your key is created, you'll be shown your Site and Secret keys:

Configure reCaptcha Settings

Paste your Site and Secret keys into the reCaptcha > Settings page:

Enable invisible reCaptcha option and select your desired WordPress forms. We recommend enabling them all:

Next, be sure to enable the MemberPress forms under the Custom Forms section:

Note: If you don't see the MemberPress Custom Forms options, be sure you have MemberPress vs 1.9.4+ installed and activated on your site.

We also recommend disable reCaptcha for Roles above Subscribers:

We recommend leaving the rest of the settings at their defaults. But you can tweak them to your liking.

Don't Forget to Test

Under Authentication section in the reCaptcha > Settings page, there's a "Test reCaptcha" button that you'll click ... wait ... then click again. If everything is setup correctly, you should get 2 green checkboxes next to the keys and a message that it was completed successfully.

Note: If you get errors, ensure you entered your domain correctly when creating your key, and be sure you copied your keys into the right boxes. If you have any issues beyond that, you'll likely need to contact BestWebSoft support for further help.

Once the test is successful, visit your MemberPress Login page in a new browser or incognito window (so you're not logged in) and check to see if you see the Google reCaptcha icon in the bottom-right of your page.

Note: If you don't see any reCaptcha logo, ensure that caching is not enabled on your Login and Registration pages. And make sure you didn't enable the Hide reCaptcha Badge checkbox.
