Using MemberPress SEO and PayWall
The "SEO & PayWall" options can be found under the MemberPress Options page under the General tab as seen below.
NOTE: These features does not work well with caching plugins, CDN's, or hosts that do their own page caching (WP Engine, GoDaddy managed WP, etc). You can ask that they not cache anything that sets the mp3pi141592pw cookie, but this will essentially disable caching on all of your protected content.
Index Protected Content
Checking the first box, " Treat popular search engines as authorized members?", will tell MemberPress to treat supported search engines as authorized users so that they can index your protected content. Supported search engines are Google, Bing/MSN, Yahoo, and Ask.
Do Not Index Protected Content
If you would like to prevent search engines from indexing your protected content, you can select the second box under SEO & Paywall, " Ask search engines to not index protected content?". When this option is enabled, MemberPress will ask search engines to not index your protected content. Note: If you have selected "Treat popular search engines as authorized members?" selecting this option will have no affect.
The third option, " Enable PayWall", allows you to select the number of pages a guest can view for free before they are shown the unauthorized access message. When you select this option, you will be presented with a box to enter in the number of free page views as seen below. Note: We strongly recommend leaving this feature disabled until you have setup and tested your MemberPress installation.
